Milestones
The day my babies first wear jeans is always a bitter-sweet one for me. Sarah has arrived. Growing up:

Growing Up
Oklahoma City Zoo
While Grandma was here, we went to the zoo. Our zoo has a fabulous Children's Zoo! It just opened a few months ago, so this was just our second time there. The girls loved it!
There's a great splash area!
We did venture out into the rest of the zoo, but I didn't take any pictures.
Elaine spent a lot of time watching this bird take a bath.

Sally spent the whole time in the pack, either with Grandma or me.

We Love Grandma!
My mom came to visit this week! In addition to her spring (fall) cleaning my house, doing my dishes, watching our kids so Mike and I could go out, and TRAINING MY BABY TO SLEEP THROUGH THE NIGHT, we had lots of fun!
When Laney found out Grandma was leaving, she said, "Grandma be right back!" When I told her no, we wouldn't see Grandma for a long time, she asked to go with her.
I think I'm enough like my mom that Sally knew she wasn't a stranger. She would often look back and forth between me and my mom, with this silly grin on her face.
Sally is actually one of the main reasons my mom came. She had not been sleeping at night (or during the day, for that matter.) She was waking up every 45 minutes to an hour, around the clock. She didn't want to nurse (She was going from 6:30p.m. until 6:00a.m. without eating), but she was just not sleeping. I was dying!
A few days before Mom got here, we moved Sally out of our room. She now sleeps in the coat closet, thanks to my inspired sister, Marian, who brought me a bed that fits (all the way from Kansas!).
So, while Mom was here, she slept on the couch next to Sally's room (closet), and we had a fan going in our room. I didn't hear a thing until 6a.m., when Mom would come get me to feed Sally. Mom did 5-5-5 (see Dr. Ferber's Solve Your Child's Sleep Problems) with Sal when she woke in the night. The first couple of nights were not good--waking every hour. But then, Sally gradually improved, until Friday night, when she went all the way from 7:45p.m. until 6a.m.! (Last night, however, she woke up at 11, 2, 4, and 6. We're hoping that's not a trend.)
Thanks, Mom, for saving my life!
Elaine and Grandma were especially good friends.

Sleeper
Of three children, I was blessed with one sleeper. My Laney loves to sleep. And when her body needs it, she sleeps and sleeps. She's been sick for a few days now; it's 10:50a.m., and she's still asleep. She went to bed at 7p.m. (That's 16 hours, to save you the figuring.) When we got back from Utah, she slept until 11 three days in a row, catching up from our crazy trip.
(My Sally, on the other hand, is not a sleeper, although improving. She's now awake again after a 45 minute nap. Not allowed.)

Yosemite: Waterfall
I forgot to write about one of my favorite spots in Yosemite, so you get one more post . . . sorry.
About a mile above Swinging Bridge, there's a beautiful, secluded waterfall and swimming hole. I was occupied with little ones this time, so I didn't go, but Mike hiked up with a bunch of people.
Here's a photo of Mike jumping. I wish I also had a good photo of the water and falls. It's gorgeous.
