Many walks. When Mariah and Elaine get ahead on their bikes, they find a comfy place to sit down and wait.
M and E made birthday cards for Aunt Jessie.
A smiley face from E.
Creamy green drink. A favorite!
Mariah drew lots of pictures for me on the white board.
A sick day.
We made a volcano! The process took several days.
Mike helped with the paper mache.
Everyone helped with the painting.
Finished product, minus the dinosaurs that got added later. We didn't get any pictures of the eruption, but it was pretty cool!
Another trip to the zoo. With friends.
See the turtle and the duck? In the grizzly bear habitat?!
Our good friends from dental school met us there. Twins, Gary and Hannah, are 3 weeks younger than Sally.
I didn't know Sal was watching, but for the next several days, she would squeal and laugh like Hannah, with her tongue out.
Mike and I celebrated 6 years! A friend from the ward stayed with the kids so we could go out (Mike surprised me with The Hunger Games at the Imax!), and then we came back and had a backyard getaway in the tent. The girls helped me set it up earlier in the day. They played in it for a long time and had a blast. And they were awesome secret keepers! Nobody said a word about it the whole afternoon (Mike got home early). I just closed our bedroom blinds, and the tent was hidden from view from the kitchen windows. I was amazed at how much it felt like a real getaway.
Somersaults:
"Tall tall tower."
Grandpa Paul reading The B Book. (For some reason, the sound and picture aren't in sinc.) My siblings will appreciate this blast from the past.
"Sunbeam"
"Happy Birthday"
"Hello, Hello!"
