Thanksgiving 2011

We went up to my sister, Marian's house for Thanksgiving. The girls had so much fun with their cousins, and I love spending time with Marian. We didn't get any pictures, but one of the highlights for me was playing whiffle ball with the kids. I'm with my kids all day every day, but I don't just PLAY with them very often. (Part of it is my personality--I'm not great at kid play, and part is because many days, I go from crisis to crisis and just don't have a peaceful moment to play.) Anyway, I have a goal to increase my play time with the girls. This morning, I played a Dr. Seuss game with them, and this afternoon, we played with play-doh.

So, Thanksgiving in 35 pictures (yikes!):

Bike races with cousins.

Elaine in the lead (but I think Elsa was on her 3rd lap)!

Lots and lots of princess dresses.

And dolls. Elsa was so amazingly generous.

Some good, quality Dad time.

Lots of coloring.

Marian making "Mayflower" snacks with the kids.

Lots of dancing.

The cooks and the feast.

The feasters.

Marian and I worked on this wreath one evening. I love it! Marian had already spent hours making all of the flowers for me, so all I had to do was glue them on. Talk about a labor of love!
