A little over a week ago, we headed up to Marian's to celebrate her birthday with her. We had such a good time.
These 2 picked things up right where they left off. Just before these pictures were taken, Alice yelled, "Giddy-up Cowgirl! Giddy-up Cowprincess!!!" (I included all the pictures 'cause I just love their different expressions. Especially Alice's.)
Happy 30th, Marian! We had delicious raspberry dreamcake, and then Marian got a sitter for all the kids and treated me and Mike to dinner at Mongolian Barbecue.
Saturday morning, Marian and I did yoga together, fed the kids breakfast and then went for a long walk. The kids rode their bikes; Sal and Victor rode in the strollers.
We stopped at the park on the way home. My girls had never been on a merry-go-round.
Crazy Sal insisted on going down the big slide.
Saturday night, we enjoyed Marian's other birthday cake, double chocolate torte!
On Sunday, Mike and I went to church with our group and Marian's oldest 2. Her younger ones had colds.
Monday morning, we yoga'd again and then went for a RUN! I hadn't run more than a few yards in over 6 years! It felt fabulous, but I overdid it; running 3.5 miles on the first day probably wasn't the best idea. (My muscles have finally recovered, and I ran a mile this morning. I plan on easing into it.)
And, of course, Marian had all the supplies for me to make a summer wreath! Thanks to her, I now have all seasons covered.
