October 2012

Days at the park:

Too much spinning on the tire swing = green faced Mariah.

Lots of riding bikes.

Drinking my watermelon arugula smoothie. She finished off about half of this one and kept saying, "It's delicious!"

Waiting for Mariah's bus:

Fun at the lake:

Baby boot photo shoot. Sally (and Elaine) walks around in these little tiny doll boots. It's hilarious.

I told Sal to touch her shoulder to the wall, so I could get a profile. She thought I meant to touch her shoulder.

Several days later, Sal wanted to get a picture in her panties (which only lasted a couple days before she asked to be back in a diaper). She stood against the wall and touched her shoulder, with no prompting this time.

Fun with baking soda and colored vinegar:

Reading on a cold day:

October General Conference. Picnic on Mom's bed:

Updating the 72-hour kits and enjoying a few minutes of pacifying (with pacifiers from the kits 6 months ago, now obsolete).

A ladybug caught a ride:

I did a 10-day green smoothie fast. Awesome.

I broke my smoothie fast hosting a Favorite Things Party. I forgot to get pictures of the fun people and food. Mariah helped me decorate and set everything up.

Halloween decorations and 'staches from Grandma Shaunna:

Reading the Curious George book she sent. (It was crazy hair day at Mariah's school.)

Ready for the ward Trunk-or-Treat:

Sally posing with a friend from the ward:

Halloween Day. New costumes, sick Sally, and an out-of-control messy house. I was apparently so frazzled this day that I actually let my children out of the house looking like this. We only went trick-or-treating to 2 neighbors, but still . . . what happened to modest? The girls had gotten themselves dressed, and I don't even think I really looked at what they were wearing. "Ok, whatever, let's snap some pictures and go." I didn't realize until I looked at the pictures later . . . Oh well.

At least we had a Halloweeny dinner.

And some fun treats for our little party: popcorn, donuts, homemade rolos & twix, and snickerdoodles.

Some of Elaine's October schoolwork:

Sally needed to make one too:

And some bike videos:
